
Edwin Hernandez-Vargas

Since moving to Arizona in August of 2023, Edwin has served as Manager of State & Local Affairs for KORE Power, a lithium-ion battery cell developer and solutions manufacturer. Through his role, he manages KORE’s government relations and community engagement efforts, while providing direct support for the KOREPlex development in Buckeye, Arizona. With a background in legislative affairs and public policy, Edwin is skilled in building long-lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders while identifying and driving forward meaningful solutions to complex issues.
Possessing a deep knowledge of area stakeholders as well as government functions across the political spectrum, he has been hard at work expanding KORE’s presence and position in the state while helping to maintain strong workforce partnerships.
Prior to coming to Arizona, Edwin held multiple roles in Delaware state government, most recently as the Director of Legislative Affairs & Engagement for the Lieutenant Governor. Edwin is currently obtaining his Master of Leadership & Management degree from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management. Hailing from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, he now resides in Buckeye with his wife, Lauren, and two corgis, Penelope and Bentley. Aside from regularly wrangling the fur babies, they enjoy finding the best culinary destinations, planning trips to Disneyland and Napa Valley, hiking their desert mountains, and attending community events.
